Good product and good price, May 23, 2009 This review is from: Duro-Med Alternating Pressure Pad, Tan (Health and Beauty) Great price, product & shipping. I feel bad for the people that left reviews re: they thought they would get the pump as well. That never happens, these are replacement pads. Been using this type machine & pad for my mother for 11 yrs. The pump is the expensive item. This is a very good price for the pad. It always says the pad & PUMP are included if thats what your looking for. Thanks, would do business again with this seller.

Did not come with pump, July 11, 2008 This review is from: Duro-Med Alternating Pressure Pad, Tan (Health and Beauty) Ordered 2 units, they did not come with the pump, so they were useless without work of finding a pump. Replacements also arrived without pumps. Returned for refund.

Not very durable, May 7, 2007 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Duro-Med Alternating Pressure Pad, Tan (Health and Beauty) My pad only lasted about two years. While it performed wonderfully, it sprang first one, and then a second leak along the seams. These were impossible to repair. I tried the patch kit that came with it, the kit for my cushion, and even bought a bicycle tire repair kit - all to no avail.
I have subsequently bought TWO new pads (so that i won't be without one, should the one i'm using spring a leak), and at about $20 apiece, i figure 2 years is probably getting my money's worth. The new pads are from a different manufacturer (altho neither had any identifying marks, so i can't tell you that). It seems that pretty much all the alternating pressure pads have the same diameter hoses, but make sure before you buy, because you cannot return them.
I suspect that because I have a lot of difficulty getting into bed that I may have put undue stress on the seams. Someone who is able to just lie down may not have the same problems. As a precaution, I now wait until... Read more
